TSO Client features with IBM Rational ClearCase

Resolving The Problem

Using the TSO Client feature, you can perform these tasks:

• Create and work with base ClearCase UCM activities
• Work with UCM activities enabled for IBM Rational ClearQuest®
• Add files to source control
• Check in and check out files
• Work with previous versions of files, using a number of tools
• Create a local build
• Create a remote build, if you have installed the Remote Build feature

The TSO Client feature enables you to perform ClearCase operations on the distributed system, without exiting the mainframe system environment.

Auth Mode 2 passwords stored in the encrypted password file must contain alphanumeric characters only (A-Z, a-z, 0-9).

When you set your distributed password for the first time (Panel 1.2), stop and restart the TSO Client.

Specify relative or absolute pathnames when executing stunnel. This will ensure proper execution of the supplied stunnel executable.

When using the SSL feature on non-Windows platforms, copy the rnd file in the samples directory to a file named .rnd in the same directory. Then execute stunnel from the samples directory, specifying a configurations file.
