Version Tree browser display configuration not saved

Troubleshooting


Problem

This technote explains whether the IBM® Rational® ClearCase® version tree graphical interface display can be saved as a default configuration.

Resolving The Problem

It is not currently possible to save or preserve a GUI-displayed version tree as the default display of that version tree.

Example:

Open the graphical version tree for a file or directory:


Move the branches around or change anything in the interface.


Close the version tree browser and reopen it (or hit the refresh button) and you will see the version tree revert back to its original status:


Change request RATLC00606022 has been submitted to address the problem; however, the decision was made by Product Management to exclude the resolution of this enhancement from future upgrades and releases due to the significant architectural changes required to implement the solution.
