view_version error: spawn_impl, could not spawn method as user tmersrvd

Resolving The Problem

The User Rights on the "Tivoli_Admin_Privileges" group may be set incorrectly.
The "Tivoli_Admin_Privileges" group should have the following rights:

o Act as part of the operating system
o Increase quotas
o Replace a process level token

To check these User Rights on Windows 2000, do the following:

Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy ->
Local Policies -> User Rights Assignments
Double click on each of the following three user rights and verify that the
Tivoli_Admin_Privileges group has been assign to them and that BOTH the
Local Policy Setting box and Effective Policy Setting box are checked:

1) Act as part of operating system
2) Increase quotas
3) Replace a process level token

While there, check the "Bypass Traverse Checking" user right and verify that "tmersrvd" is listed as assigned to it.

Now view_version and remote control will work.
