Error description
When adding a Cinder volume to a Windows virtual machine from ICO and checking the option to format and mount the disk, the result is that the disk is added but neither formatted nor mounted. In the ICO action log, there is an error message: "CTJCA2001E: An unexpected error occurred while formatting the attached volume.". Local fix
[ Workaround ] 1. Enter process designer as "bpm_admin" 2. Open "SCOrchestartor_OpenstackBlockStorage_Toolkit (SUPCIND)" in "Toolkit" 3. Take the current snapshot of the toolkit 4. In the "manage" tab check "Allow users to update toolkit" 5. Open in designer 6. In "files" open "configure_volume.ps1" 7. Download the file by clicking the folder icon 8. Add the following to the 4th line (right after "# PROPERTY: IBM") [Console]::OutputEncoding = [System.Text.Encoding]::UTF8 9. There seems to be a bug in the code where it does not online the disks and clear the read-only attribute. Add this to the 36th line # Added for cleaning the disk information echo "select $disk" "online disk" | diskpart echo "select $disk" "attributes disk clear readonly" | diskpart 10. Save an re-upload the file to process center 11. re-execute manage volumes
