Error description

  • In large KVM hosts it is normal to bind interfaces eth0, eth1,
    eth2, into a single bond0 interface and this configuration can
    cause problems when installing ICO 2.4.
    We need the installation to handle a scenario in which
    MGMNetInterface=bond0
    
    Sample error messages of this form:
     ERROR: undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass
     NoMethodError: undefined method `keys' for nil:NilClass
    

Local fix

  • you have to reconfigure interfaces such that eth0 has an ip
    address.
    

Problem summary

  • Fix has been created and will be delivered, this will however
    require exhaustive testing before this is suitable to include in
    a release, available as an LA
