Error description

  • problem: SELINUX=disabled not accepted by the linux admins

    description:

We are in the middle of the SCO 2.3 installation by SWISSCOM in
switzerland and run into a discussion with the linux admin.

For our SCO installer we had to disable the firewall on all
Centra.Server - here the Adminguide info: "Edit the
    /etc/selinux/config
file and set the parameter SELINUX=disabled".

During the installation this was accepted by the linux admin,
    but after
the installation the administrator wants to activate the
    firewall again
    on all the CentralServer.

Because it is not documented in the Adminguide, please support
    us to
understand, what firewallports we have to open between all of
    our
    Central- and RegionServer.

Local fix

  • no workaround

Problem summary

  • The custmer need to know the detail ports information used by
sco. Therefore, they can try to enalbe selinux with those port
    left.
