SE60276: RDI 9.1.0 SOURCE MEMBERS REMAIN LOCKED AFTER COMPARE USING RSE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When comparing source members using the Remote Systems Explorer
  (RSE) in  Rational Developer for i (RDI)  9.1 the source members
  are locked when the compare is being performed.  When the
  compare is closed it is expected that the locks on the source
  members would be released but they are not.  This can prevent
  other operations on the affected members until the RSE
  connection is closed.  The locks should be removed when the
  compare is complete.
  

Local fix

• Disconnect then reconnect the RSE connection to release the
  locks held on the compared source members.

Problem conclusion

• This is now fixed by removing the lock after a compare editor
  closes in the RDi 9.1.1 update.
