Error description

  • The error message can be misleading, such as:
    GBRSM0276E: An
unexpected error occurred while exporting ruleset archive - B2X
    migration failed. java.lang.NullPointerException

    But when
adding the option -ea in the eclipse.ini file (to enable
    assertions), the error message becomes:
    An internal error
    occurred during: "Export ruleset archive".
    Variable
    java.util.Date past183daysAgo202980 = subtract_duration_to_date(
    this#com.ibm.rules.generated.fastpath.AbstractFastEngine#.engine
    Data.currentDate, 183, com.wkhealth.ce.utils.TimePeriod.DAYS)
    not declared in scope

This error may occur when two variables
(in two different rules) are initialized with the same value
(more precisely when they refer to the same object).

Local fix

  • This problem only occurs when using the "Fastpath" algorithm, so
changing to "Sequential" instead solves it.
Please notice that the problem can be happening when building a
different ruleflow than the one selected for the ruleset (all
ruleflows are built). So you might need to change the algorithm
    for all the ruleflows.
