Error description

  • 1. Create a Lock on a rule artifact
2. Try to approve the change activity and it throws the message
and leaves the status of activity inconsistently.
In the actual scenario one of our developer was trying to do
something and got some timeout exception which locked
artifacts. he couldn't re-create. But we have seen this
behavior in multiple scenarios. They happen sporadically and
would not be able to re-create again.
The problem is not with the specific message, any such message
comes it leaves Decision Center in inconsistent way. This is
because of multiple commits being done to the database and when
there is an error it does not rollback all updates.
