APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After creating an Initial Release from Rule Designer, when
  verifying the ruleset variables in the Business Console,
  variables defined as abstract classes in the BOM are not
  recognized in by the Business Console and do not appear in the
  drop down list of classes. The corresponding variable type
  appears in red in the Business Console with message 'The
  variable set has no description'.
  This problem doesn't avoid the deployment to RES, it just
  doesn't
  allow another parameter using this type to be created from the
  Business Console.
  These abstract BOM classes however can be used in Entreprise
  Console or in Rule Designer.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• In the Business Consle, variables defined as abstract classes
  in the BOM are not recognized and don't appear in the drop down
  list of classes. The corresponding variable type appear in red
  in the Business Console with the following message 'The
  variable set has no description'.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code is fixed.
