APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a resource is not available in RES, it may not be possible
to remove a managed URI reference to it from RES console.
Click on the Remove button, and confirm delete, the link still
    stays in the list.

RES server log contains the following exception:

    ERROR ilog.rules.res.console.jsf.IlrMessages
    -
    java.lang.NullPointerException
        at
    ilog.rules.res.console.jsf.bean.IlrRulesetBean$ManagedURI.isExis
    ts(IlrRulesetBean.java:2538)

Local fix

  • Make sure resource is present (possibly deploying it again as
needed) before removing managed URI reference from ruleset

Problem summary

  • The code is not expecting that a reference exists without an
    actual library linked.

Problem conclusion

  • The code is fixed

Temporary fix
