APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • While trying to open a ruledoc (both word or excel file), an
error "index was outside the bounds of Array" is thrown and the
rule authoring mechanism is not working anymore.

It is noted that the issue comes from an empty custom property
(valueInfo) defined on an attribute of a BOM class.

Local fix

  • to remove this custom property if is not used or assign with a
value

Problem summary

  • When ruledoc document contains a reference to a value info or
value provider that is not defined the edition breaks, the
add-ins required a valid value to continue

Problem conclusion

  • The code is modified to ignore an empty property
