Error description

  • When importing more than 2 projects into the workspace, with the
rule project to build being the last one on importPath, every
other build fails with the following exception:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Failed to find an open rule
project named <name_of_rule_project> in workspace at
ilog.rules.studio.automation.IlrAutomator.getRuleProjects

Local fix

  • Switching the project order on ImportPath so that the rule
project to build is at the beginning of the list on the
ImportPath reduces the chances of encountering this issue.

Problem summary

  • The problem occurs with multiple projects because of
concurrency in parallel build.
