APAR status

Error description

• The fs_check process and archiving process fail to remove some
  temporary files in database st_root\tmp directory in IBM
  Rational Synergy.
  
  Symptom:
  When the fs_check process is running it creates some temporary
  files in (database_path)\st_root\tmp. The files names are in
  the format content*.tmp. For example
  content1234567890123456789.tmp. In some circumstances it fails
  to remove some of these files.
  
  The archiving process creates temporary files named
  verify*.tmp, which it sometimes fails to remove.
  This can result in the file system becoming full and may result
  in file system errors if not managed.
  
  ENVIRONMENT:
  This has been seen on Microsoft Windows Server 2008
  Tool=Rational Synergy
  Version=7.1.0.6 / 7.1.0.7
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1) Run fs_check on the database.
  2) Monitor the contents of the st_root/tmp folder to see if all
  files are deleted.
  
  RESULT:
  Some files are not removed from the folder.
  
  WORKAROUND:
  To resolve any problems with file system space you should
  shutdown the database and remove any file in the st_root/tmp
  folder which have the name format content*.tmp and verify*.tmp
