Error description
Error 409 reconciling a requirements collection in RQM when integrated with RequisitePro projects with more than 1,000 packages
Local fix
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: Users of Rational RequisitePro (Reqpro) integration with Rational Quality Manager (RQM) who try to reconcile a requirement collection from RQM more than two times in a row. This only applies to RequisitePro projects stored in Oracle DBMS and the sum of their packages is more than 1,000 packages. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During the reconcile process the RequisitePro package refresh function loads by default all the children packages hierarchy and when having more than 1,000 packages, RequisitePro will send a "Error 409 reconciling a requirements collection in RQM" error.
Problem conclusion
RequisitePro code was updated to refresh only the necessary packages. There is still a limitation when working with RequisitePro projects stored in Oracle databases, a package can not have more than 1,000 children packages. The limit is immediately reach the first time the reconcile is performed when the parent package contains 1,000 or more children packages. The fix for this APAR was included in RequisitePro version 7.1.3.9 and 7.1.4.2.
