Error description

  • In a distributed server with a frequently scheduled agent, large
    queues of identical agent runs can build up during busy periods,
    such that when executed, they may overlap and run simultaneously
    on different servers. Once the agents finish and attempt to
    write their history details out to CM, these history writes can
    cause errors.??Error seen in the run history:?"CM-SYS-5192 An
    error occurred with Content Manager. CM-SYS-5001 A Content
    Manager internal error occurred."???Error found in the
    cogserver.log:?"CM-SYS-5173 Content Manager failed while
    processing a database transaction because of a database
    deadlock. This can happen when another Content Manager process
    or an external program is accessing the content store database.
    Check for any scripts that are running, such as Content Manager
    clean up or IBM Cognos Software Development Kit scripts, that
    may result in a heavy volume of updates to the content store.
    Check with the database administrator about other programs that
    might be updating the database.  Transaction (Process ID 123)
    was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has
    been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction."
