PM94221: TWO "ACTIVITIES" ENTRIES WHEN USER RUNS A REPORT AND DOES "SELECT A DELIVERY METHOD

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a customer runs a report interactively, and then clicks the
  link to "select a delivery method", we get two entries in Cognos
  Administration for this activity.  The report is listed as
  running under "Background Activities", and there is a "Preview"
  listed as running under "Interactive Activities".  The "Preview"
  entry hangs around, and the BIBus process that it says it's
  running goes to 100% CPU just like the BIBus process that is
  handling the background report.  The "Preview" BIBus process
  finishes using CPU, then the report finishes using CPU and the
  report is complete.  This is a problem because whenever a
  customer runs a report this way, it ends up using twice the CPU
  resources, BIBus connections, etc
