Error description

  • Importing mapping settings for Framemaker imports does not work,
    the mappings are not applied.

    To recreate:

     - in a module select File;Import;Framemaker...
     - select a valid Framemaker file and click ?Import...?
     - apply some mappings and save the mappings (.map) file
     - perform the import
     - now perform the same import having loading the saved mappings
    file

When the mapping file is loaded a tabbing issue is immediately
visible in the dialog. the mapping none-the-less appear to have
been loaded, but completing the import shows that none have been
    applied to the imported data.

Workaround: apply the mappings manually, or contact support for
    a DXL fix.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Edit the map file to remove the "[tab]-> {name}" from the end of
     the LHB strings

    For example

    <LHB><1Level -> Heading Level 1>

    becomes

    <LHB><1Level>
