PM87217: Unable to see System Functions in ActivityPerformedByPerfomer in SA v11.4.2.2

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• System Functions that exist before the Instantiable was added do
  not appear in the Choices list
  
  -customer upgraded from 11.4.1.1 to 11.4.2.2
  -they have Activities (DM2) and (System Function (DM2x)
  definitions in their encyclopedia
  -they also have Activities Performed by Performers (DM2r)
  definitions
  -as System Function (DM2x) inherits from Activity (DM2), we
  expect to be able to choose either System Functions or
  Activities when we go to into the properties of an
  ActovityPerformedbyPerformer definition by doing the following:
  a) open an ActivityPerformedByPerformer (DM2r) definition
  b) go to the 'Activity and Performer' tab
  c) go to the 'Activity' section on Page 1
  d) click the 'choices' button
  -only the Activities (DM2) defined in the encyclopedia are
  available to choose
  
  Workaround is to edit the existing problem System Function
  (DM2x) definitions.

  Basically an old System Function present before the
  definition type was made instantiable is not appearing in
  the choices list for a non-instance.
  This would indicate a bug in the choices list code where it
  should be assuming anything found without an 'Is Instance'
  property value is a non-instance.
  I don't see how changing this code would change behavior to
  allowing it to show more items than it should.
  

Problem conclusion

• Empty "Is Instance" property value is now treated as a
  False.
