    ****************************************************************
CSQMDSC1 processes the DISPLAY CFSTATUS and issues an IXLMG
STRNAME request to retrieve information about the specified CF
structure. CSQMDSC1 passes the address of a storage area for the
response in the DATAAREA parameter. This storage area is
obtained in a different key to the key CSQMDSC1 is running in.
IXLA1MG issues a MVCDK to set to the key of CSQMDSC1 when trying
to move to this storage area, hence an 0C4 occurs. IXLA1MG
handles the abend and the IXLMG returns with IXLRSNCODEBADAREA,
which results in the DISPLAY CFSTATUS giving STATUS(UNKNOWN)
or NO CFSTATUS FOUND MATCHING REQUEST CRITERIA.

z/OS 2.1 fixed a defect where it was specifying the key
incorrectly on an MVCDK instruction rather than the caller's
key. Following that fix the call to macro IXLMG needs to be in
the same key as the storage area passed in the DATAAREA
    parameter.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to call IXLMG in the appropriate key.
