Error description

  • A timeout occurred while CICS TG was waiting for a response
from CICS over the IPIC protocol. All sessions using the same
IPIC connection were terminated unexpectedly. The closure of
the IPIC connection resulted in the following messages being
written repeatedly to the CICS log:
DFHIS0998 MIRROR TRANSACTION PROCESSING DPL REQUEST USING IP
INTERCONNECTIVITY HAS ABENDED WITH CODE AITJ.
DFHAC2236 TRANSACTION CPMI ABEND AITJ IN PROGRAM DFHMIRS TERM
<termid>. UPDATES TO LOCAL RECOVERABLE RESOURCES WILL
              BE BACKED OUT.
DFHIS1015 UNABLE TO ACCEPT CONNECTION FOR IPCONN . IPCONN CLIENT
              SESSION STATE IS INVALID.

The IPIC connection might not be reused until the IPCONN had
been set out of service in CICS and then set back in service.

    ****************************************************************
When an ECI timeout expires when CICS TG is waiting for response
data from CICS using the IPIC protocol, the IPIC connection can
    be closed unexpectedly.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS TG has been corrected to terminate only the IPIC session
that was being used by the ECI request that timed out. IPIC
sessions using the same IPIC connection continue as expected.
