  Description.
  A performance issue is observed when calling functions
  associated with a data access application when trying to
  retrieve the value from a BLOB column of an SQLRecord.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  a) Create a project with the Data Access application wizard
  targeting an applicable database which generates the associated
  EGL code artifacts.
  b) Define with a table which includes a BLOB column.
  c) Implement a function to retrieve the BLOB value, where
  typically containing over 1mb of data this will take over 1
  minute to return the appropriate value, results.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• In RBD 8.5.1 and before, retrieve blob/clob column in sql
  statement is very slow.
  

Problem conclusion

• In RBD 8.5.1.1,9.0 and after, retrieve blob/clob column in sql
  statement is faster than previous releases.
