PM83119: ADMINISTRATOR CANNOT DELETE A REPORTING CHANNEL FOLDER ONCE A REPORT PAGE SPEC CONTAINED WITHIN IT HAS BEEN DELETED.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Administrator cannot delete a Reporting Channel Folder once a
  Report Page Spec contained within it has been deleted.
  
  The following generic steps can be used to replicate the issue:
  
  1. Login to OPX as OpenPagesAdministrator
  (http://servername:7009/opx)
  2. Click on Browse Channels on left pane,
  3. Click Reporting
  4. Click on SOX
  5. Click "Add Folder"
  6. Enter "NewFolder", click OK
  7. Navigate to a folder containing Report Page,  i.e.
  "Reporting> SOX> Notifications> Test Notifications"
  8. Click the checkbox adjacent to the Report Page
  9. Click "Copy To"
  10. Navigate to and select "Reporting> SOX> NewFolder" and click
  OK
  11. Click the checkbox adjacent to the report Page under New
  Folder
  12. Hit the "Delete" button and hit OK
  13. Click the checkbox adjacent to NewFolder
  14. Hit the "Delete" button and hit OK
  15. Confirm that an error occurs.
  
  The expectation is to be able to delete the reporting channel
  folder. The actual result generates an OP-00710 error message in
  the logs.
  

Local fix

• Move the folder that is to be deleted to the "Hidden Reports"
  folder.
  The folder can now be deleted.

Problem conclusion

• The code has been modified to more appropriately handle the
  exception when the deleted resource can not be found in the
  database. The code change resolves this defect.
