Error description
QUESTION: When using the Cognos Navigator portlet to run a report where the report output has been defined as Excel the generated parametrized URL looks like this:??http://vottsunnydale.canlab.ibm.com/10rp164fp/cgi-bin/cog nosisapi.dll?b_action=cognosViewer&ui.action=run&ui.object=store ID%28%22i79060B98A10041A9B8E0340B27314F63%22%29&ui.name=Audit%20 View%20for%20John&run.outputFormat=spreadsheetML&run.prompt=true &cv.header=false&ui.backURL=%2f10rp164fp%2fcps4%2fportlets%2fcom mon%2fclose.html??When a user is using IE the window that popups from the Cognos Navigator will close on it's own??with Firefox and Safari this does not happen.??UPS was previously using CRN and the landing page to download the excel file presented the user with additional options (such as the blue return arrow). UPS made heavy use of this in their environment and this has since been removed from 10.1.1 RP1. See the attachment entitled CRN_OUTPUT.PNG for the landing page in CRN. In 10.1.1 see the attachment 10_1_RP1_LANDING.PNG??Is there any XML or javascript file we can modify to change what is appearing on this page? UPS is ok with doing the work themselves and understands that this is not supported. Their CRN environment is widely deployed and the users will be expecting the same functionality from their 10.1.1 upgrade. Ideally they want to be able to add to this page so they can include custom links for the users to make use of. If they cannot add to this page then is there anyway to modify the resulting URL to include cv.header=true&cv.toolbar=true AND force those options on for the displaying of Excel/PDF content (When manually adding those options to the parameterized URL they had no effect, we believe this is because when Excel is selected as the run option it's hardcoded as off)??ENVIRONMENT:?Cognos 10.1.1 GA?Firefox 10 ESR?Safari 5
