APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Start-up of the CHIN is delayed. It is not clear why.
    Finally, these messages appear:
CSQX020I CSQXSPRI Shared channel recovery completed
CSQX022I CSQXSUPR Channel initiator initialization complete
    .
Shared channel recovery was occurring and taking a while (in
this case due to clean-up activity for orphaned channel status
entries as described in PM81116). There was no indication that
this processing was taking place until the "recovery completed"
message. There should be a message to show that the recovery
    started.

During startup processing, the CHINIT recovers shared channels.
There are no messages indicating the start of this processing,
and in some occasions it can take some time to complete.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was changed to issue messages CSQX120I and CSQX121I
when the queue manager goes into shared channel recovery
    processing.
