    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    An ABEND0C4 occurs in CSQMGETV when trying to copy the GMO that
    has been specified by the application. The call which causes
    the problem is a MQCB with a SUSPEND operation (MQOP_SUSPEND).
    This causes CSQMCB to call CSQMGET with a MQspiGMO_CANCEL_WAIT
    set in the spiGMO which will cause any get waits to be
    cancelled.
    However the spiGMO does not have a Version specified, and due
    to this the spiGMO is not copied correctly. The cancel wait
    is not done and instead CSQMGETV is invoked with an invalid
    GMO leading to the ABEND0C4.
    The abend details appear on Logrec, but the external symptom of
    the problem will be MQRC_GMO_ERROR, MQRC 2186.
    Additional Keywords: Asynchronous Consume

Problem conclusion

  • CSQMCB has been altered to set the VERSION in the SPIGMO before
    calling CSQMGET.
