Error description

  • Discussion creation interface is different between DOORS client
and DWA. 'Comment' Field is mandatory in DWA, where as in DOORS
    Client it isn't.

If we want to create a new Discussion in DOORS Client, we can
either specify the Summary or Comment. i.e. there are no
    mandatory fields.

However, in DWA the Comment Field has been made mandatory.

Thus there is a inconsistency in the Discussion creation
interface between DOORS client and DWA.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • This was deliberately coded in DWA, since it uses the same
dialog for Discussion creation as it does for adding comments,
and was apparently done as the simplest solution.

Problem conclusion

  • Code altered to match DOORS behaviour.

Temporary fix

  • There is no workaround for this issue
