Error description
When saving a report with a prompt page (Run with Options -> Save Report), after selecting the prompt parameter values, a confirmation page is displayed that displays "You selected to run <report_name> as follows:" and lists the settings and parameters for the report run.??The prompt parameters on the confirmation page do not seem to be displayed in any particular order. They are not listed in the order they appear on the prompt page, the order they are created in the report, alphabetical or numerical order.??For example, I create a report with a prompt page that has 5 prompts: p1, p2, p3, p4, p5. I save the report, select run with options, save report, select prompt values on the prompt page, and click Finish. The Confirmation Page is displayed, and instead of listing the parameters in the order they appear on the prompt page, they appear in the following order: p5, p1, p4, p2, p3 (this order may not always be same, this is an example).??The customer would like these parameters to be listed in the same order they appear on the prompt page of the report. ??The strange order will also appear in the run history details of the report.

In current Cognos BI product, as noted, prompts are not stored a nd handled in a deterministic order. The current design does no t provide sufficient information about prompts/parameters for a consistent order to be maintained across different interfaces in which these are exposed. If you wish, an enhancement requestin g that the order presented in reports always be maintained when prompts are presented can be logged for consideration in an upco ming release of Cognos BI.
