Problem summary

The exception should be caught, and processing should continue. The application may encounter problems later due to the corrupt JAR file in the application, but the deployment should not fail as a result.
Problem conclusion
The code has been corrected to allow the deployment to continue when a corrupt JAR file is encountered during annotation scanning. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.0.0.6 and the fix pack following 8.5.0.2.
