APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• It is not possible to delete a view in DOORS when the name ends
  with full stop character.
  
  To recreate:
  
   - create a view in DOORS with a name ending in '.' e.g.
  'view1.'
   - attempt to delete the view
  
  A DXL error will be given.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• It is not possible to delete a view in DOORS when the name ends
  with full stop character.
  

Problem conclusion

• The security code in DOORS to prevent directory traversal
  attacks(using ..\.. in paths to access other locations) does not
   allow any paths with ".." in them.  Modified to preserve the
  security but still allow filenames with multiple full stops.
  

Temporary fix

• Rename the view to not use a full stop before deleting it.
