Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.0.1 After a performing a search all function while editing COBOL in System z LPEX, deleting text can result in the cursor jumping to an unexpected location, possibly resulting in user typo or mistake if the user does not notice.
Local fix
Problem summary
After performing a Find All operation in a COBOL file opened in System z LPEX, deleting text may result in the cursor jumping to an incorrect location.
Problem conclusion
The COBOL parser was incorrectly resetting all the line classes during parsing resulting in the cursor jumping to incorrect locations while editing during a filtered view as the result of a find all operation. The COBOL parser will now only reset the COBOL parser classes when parsing the line. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.1 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
