Error description

• Only 4 types of page encoding is listed in conbo box in web.xml
  jsp configuration.
  
  Creating dynamic web project and open the web.xml with GUI
  editor, navigate to Add JSP configuration > Add Property Group >
  Page Encodings
  Only 4 types of page encoding (ISO-8859-1, UTF-8, UTF-16,
  Unicode) are listed. The customer would like to use Shift_JIS.
  If we open the web.xml in 'source' tab and edit the xml directly
  to add <page-encoding> Shift_JIS, we see the error
  'Page Encoding : The value is not among the possible selections'
  on web.xml GUI editor.

  The web editor was restricting the use of more page encoding

Problem conclusion

• A fix provides the default page encoding types and allows
  specifying a different one.  The fix for this APAR is
  included in Rational Application Developer v8.5.1.
