  The display mode dialog is not correct when multiple symbols are
  selected. Even though by default the 'Selected Symbols only'
  option is checked, other symbols of the type are affected too.
  
  Workaround:
  ----------
  Uncheck then check again the 'Selected Symbols only' option
  before clicking OK in the Display Mode dialog window.

  The SA module that handles the "Display Mode" dialog has an
  internal variable intended to mirror the dialog's
  external/visible "Selected Symbols Only" check-box. This CR
  arose because internal and external got out of synch.
  

Problem conclusion

• The out-of-synch condition was caused by some legacy
  processing that is no longer useful. The solution is to
  simply disable the old legacy processing.
