• Machine check is possible in EGL iSeries runtime or when calling
  a program multiple times

  The caching logic for maintaining memory pointers does not
  work correctly on iseries systems. Under some conditions, a
  user program can get a machine check for a pointer not set.
  Also, under some conditions, a call to one of the VGN
  runtime modules will also fail with a machine check for a
  pointer not set. This problem is in both the generator side
  and the runtime side.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fixtest is available and is to be applied to the
  generator and another zip file contains the replacement
  iseries runtime, which needs to be installed, by following
  the instructions in the egl manuals.
