PM74242: UDA DATABASE CURSOR NOT RELEASED IN A TIMELY FASHION WHEN RUNNING REPORTS TO A NON-CSV FORMAT

Error description

  • When running a report in batch mode to any format other than
    CSV, such as PDF, there is a delay of 2 to 3 minutes from when
    UDA is finished the sqlScrollBulkFetch operation and when the
    database cursor is released. ??During this time-frame, no
    activity is seen occurring on the BI Server or on the Database
    itself. ??This delay pads the report execution time as Cognos
    still lists the report as "Executing" until the cursor is
    released. ??When running the same report in batch mode to CSV,
    the cursor is released immediately after the sqlScrollBulkFetch
    operation is complete.
