PM73022: After resizing a table's columns and rows, the size returns to the default setting

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM Rational Software Architect, if you try to re-size a rich
  text table's columns and rows, the size will return to the
  default after saving.
  
  The following steps reproduce the problem:
  
  1. Make sure that Window ? Preferences ? Modeling ? Text ?
  Enable rich text editing is selected
  
  2. Create a UML project and model
  
  
  3. Add, for example, a class to the model
  
  
  4. Add a table to the Documentation
  
  
  5. Adjust the width and length of the table's rows and columns
  
  
  6. Click on the model in the Project Explorer and save the
  changes
  
  
  7. Return the focus to the table
  
  
  Expected Result: The table's cells have the same width and
  length as in Step 5
  
  
  Actual Result: The table's cells revert to the default width and
  length
  
  There is no workaround to this problem.

Problem conclusion

• It has been nesessary to read the column definition and
  create table columns accordingly instead of creating them
  with equal width based on maximum number of cells in a row
  of a table.
