Error description

  • Cognos 10.1.1 environment is hanging multiple times a day. When
    the issue occurs, the portal cannot be logged into and the
    dispatch URL hangs.??The Content Manager url can be hit
    (http://cm01:9302/p2pd/servlet) and does indicate that it is
    running.??The server appears to recover after 10-15
    minutes.??Additionally, the java on the dispatcher machines at
    the time of the issue are going through modes of ?spiking to
    700% CPU usage (Linux machine - so it is using several cores).
