Error description
When doing an edit or refresh of a member in SCLM with RDz an error occurs, 'An error occurred retrieving the SYSLIB information from SCLM for ?member?'. When retrieving copybook information for an edit or refresh, RDz will do a information build (build mode = i) on that member to retrieve SYSLIB information. RDz by default does a SYSLIB retrieval using normal build (Build scope=N), so if there are build scope restrictions defined in the project definition for the language associated to the member that are not Build scope=N, then you may receive this error message. Work Around: You can you verify the build restrictions by having your SCLM administrator check the Language definitions in the Proj defs.source and look at the FLMLANGL definition for that language. If the scope is set to something other than NORMAL you can modify that to allow for the SYSLIB retrieval.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: 01.All SCLM DT users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 01.When doing an edit and syntax * * operation on a member it may fail * * during the syslib retrieval. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** 01.Syslib retrieval will fail if SCLM customers have defined in their project definition build restriction on normal scope. Sample definition such as : FLMLANGL LANG=COBOL,SCOPE=EXTENDED
Problem conclusion
01.The syslib retrieval operation issued on edit and syntax check has been modified to re-try the build information function with extended scope if it fails on normal scope.
