Error description
The setgroup-swap utility allows IBM Rational ClearCase users on UNIX or Linux who are a member of more than 16 groups to use ClearCase commands. The utility is documented in technote http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21207807. In ClearCase versions 7.1.1.7, 7.1.2.4 and 8.0.0.x a defect was introduced that causes a stat() call to fail unless setgroup-swap is called either from the directory where it resides or with the full path to the utility. vobadm@SUSE1164B:/? which setgroup-swap /opt/rational/clearcase/etc/utils/setgroup-swap vobadm@SUSE1164B:/? setgroup-swap usage: setgroup-swap ?program-to-run? (set CLEARCASE_GROUPS EV to reorganize groups and CLEARCASE_PRIMARY_GROUP to change the primary group of the user) vobadm@SUSE1164B:/? setgroup-swap cleartool lsview Error with stat() call on file setgroup-swap vobadm@SUSE1164B:/? /opt/rational/clearcase/etc/utils/setgroup-swap cleartool lsview adm1 /net/SUSE1164B/viewstore/vobadm/adm1.vws Steps to reproduce: Run setgroup-swap ?cleartool cmd? on an affected ClearCase release from a directory where the utility does not reside. Workaround: Invoke setgroup-swap with the full path. For example, '/opt/rational/clearcase/etc/utils/setgroup-swap ?cleartool command?'.
