PM70682: CONTROLLER 10.1.1 CLIENT DOES NOT UNINSTALL FULLY (LEAVING REGISTRY KEYS BEHIND)

Error description

• Customer is changing Controller version, for example downgrading
  from Controller 10.1.1 to 10.1.0. ????Customer uninstalls 10.1.1
  client from device (e.g. desktop PC) and then installs
  Controller 10.1.0 client (CCRLocalClient.MSI). Afterwards, user
  launches Controller. User tries to use Excel-based
  functionality. User receives error
  message.????====================??A critical error occured in
  Controller Link, probably due to missing file(s),??and you won't
  be able to work with it.??Please contact your system
  administrator.??Error Descr:??Automation error??The system
  cannot find the file specified.??[OK]??IBM Cognos Controller

Local fix

• Uninstall any current/existing Controller client, delete the 'ba
  d' registry key, and then re-install the correct Controller clie
