Error description

  • Cognos Installation and Configuration 10.1.1 Component ID:
    5724W12IC Operating System: Windows (Microsoft)   Summary:
    Client was given a fix for COGCQ00582884 and the pmr # was
    59829,L6Q,000 version 8.4.1. Client is requesting if this defect
    has been addressed in Cognos 10.1.1 as they are still not able
    to publish an FM model using SDK when there are two servers in
    the environment with the metadata service running.  Following
    error thrown:  BME-AS-0022 Model was not opened.   Client is
    currently using Java 1.7 with new C10.1.1 jar files. They have
    two full installs on each of the cognos servers.  Client is
    looking for a fix so that they can publish FM model using SDK
    while the metadata service is running on both machines.

    Currently client and I, tried to publish (using the SDK code)
    any sample model provided by Framework Manager .    Case 1  When
    the metadata service of only one cognos host is true model
    (Sample Model provided by Framework Manager) gets publish (using
    the SDK   code) Successfull    Case 2  When the metadata service
    of both cognos host is true model (Sample Model provided by
    Framework Manager) gets publish (using the SDK code) Fails.

    was reproduced in house with the code attached
    "SDKExample.java", set up a distributed env.  In IBM cognos
    Configuration   IBM Cognos services     Metadata service
    enabled?   if the metada service is set to true on both cognos
    instance the code does not work if one of the metadata service
    is set to true, everything work as expected
