APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CQ 7.1.2.0 (and all versions up through 7.1.2.7 as of late),
  show warning message prior to selection of features indicating
  that the OS is unsupported, when the OS is Win XP SP2 64-bit.
  
  Per the product requirements 64-bit Win XP SP2 is a supported
  platform and should install without warning (even when no server
  components are later selected):

  The installation succeeds, however the warning is confusing to
  administrators.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When attempting to install ClearQuest on Microsoft Windows XP
  SP2 64 bit, a warning message is thrown saying the platform is
  not supported.  This is incorrect because Microsoft Windows XP
  SP2 64 bit is a supported platform for non-server features.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearQuest 7.1.2.8 and 8.0.0.4.
