APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On CQWeb 8.0.0.3 if the access validation hook returns 0 (access
  denied) you get the normal message.  However, when you logoff
  you also receive a message saying Warning: All changes will be
  lost.
  
  
  Steps to reproduce.
  On CQ Web 8.0.0.3 using the defect tracking and sampl database.
  
  1. Modify the Defect Access control hook to be:
   Defect_AccessControl = 0
  Note: This makes it fail for all users.
  
  2. save the changes and upgrade the user database.
  3. Login to CQWeb and modify a record and attempt to do the
  action you added the hook to.
  4. You will receive the normal access denied error.
  5. Click ok
  6. It does not matter if you close the record form or not.
  7. Log out and you will get the message Warning: All changes
  will be lost

  When a CQ Web user executes an action (e.g. modify,
  resolve...) on a record but does not actually make any
  changes to the form , clicking the logout button results in
  CQ Web showing an invalid "Warning: All changes will be
  lost" message.? This is unnecessary because no changes were
  made to the record.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearQuest 7.1.2.8 and 8.0.0.4.
