PM69413: In RDz 8.0.3.2 file encoding and property settings are incorrect when dragging and dropping files between host and PC.

Error description

• APAR Error Description:
  Abstract: In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) version
  8.0.3.2, even though Cp943 is set for the encoding of the local
  folder and the local codepage of the member, transferring a file
  from the host to client z/OS project by drag?drop results in an
  encoding of the copied local file set to MS932 (Cp932).
  Problem: 1. Set the host codepage and local codepage to IBM-930
  and Cp943 in the Remote System view:
  - right-clicking MVS File ? Properties and select the
  appropriate codepages in the listboxes
  
  2. Create a local project by selecting the Workstation COBOL
  folder type ? COBOL sample 1. Then add a folder 'Source'.
  
  3. Create a zOS project, MVS subproject and a partitioned
  dataset and add a sample COBOL file.
  
  4. In zOS project perspective select a COBOL file in a MVS
  subproject.
  Notice that the properties view below shows that the host and
  local codepages are now exactly as you set in step 1.
  
  5. Drag the COBOL file in zOS project view to the local
  project's 'Source' folder. Then right-click on the local COBOL
  file and select Properties. You will notice that the Other radio
  button is selected and says MS932 instead of Cp943. Radio button
  is editable. This means that the Japanese file contents will not
  display correctly.
  
  Local fix:
  Use copy/paste instead of drag?drop
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When a member whose local codepage was Cp943 was copied to a
  local projects, its encoding was set to MS932.
  

Problem conclusion

• The client was fixed to set the text encoding of the local file
  properly when the codepage of a copied member had Cp943.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.3 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
