Error description

• Abstract:
  
  Attempts to run the Web services JAX-RPC wizard after importing
  a preference file might result in a NullPointerException.
  
  Problem:
  
  If the preference file contains imports of the WebSphere Portal
  stub runtimes, and the WebSphere Portal stubs have not been
  installed in RAD, this causes the Web services JAX-RPC wizard to
  throw a NullPointerException.
  
  Local fix:
  
  To workaround this issue, either remove the WebSphere Portal
  stub references from the preferences file or install the
  WebSphere Portal stubs.

  After importing the preferences the runtime locations may no
  longer be valid.  This may happen when a preference file
  created on one machine is imported into the workbench on
  another machine, and the WebSphere Application Server
  runtime installation directories are different.
  

Problem conclusion

• With the fix, you can now proceed to the second page;
  however, because the runtime location is not valid, the
  emitter cannot be invoked.  A more clear error message will
  appear to inform the user that the runtime location is
  invalid, and it will guide the user to check the preference
  page.
  
  The fix for this APAR is included in Rational Application
  Developer v8.0.4.2.
