Error description
On the second invocation of an IBM Rational ClearCase 'cleartool man' command on a system running 32-bit Microsoft Windows XP SP3, the following error occurs: ------------------------------------------- Java.exe Illegal System DLL Relocation The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Program Files\RationalSDLC\common\JAVA5.0\jre\classic\jvm.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL. ------------------------------------------- Investigation through IBM's Java Technology center pointed to Java APAR IV14926. The only current workaround to this issue is to run the following command before running the second 'cleartool man' command: taskkill /f /im javaw.exe This will kill the local web server that is spawned by the first cleartool man command and allow the next one to spawn successfully.
