  For some user defined definitions the Choices
  list for some properties is empty in the Properties windows/Edit
  when it does contain a list.
  It is only reproducible on custom definitions.

  When trying to get the information on the selected item in
  the choices list, the wrong strings are being compared. One
  is the dropped value and the other is the display value
  which does not contain quotes if needed and may contain
  square brackets.
