  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users of Rational RequisitePro Baseline Manager who create a
  baseline from a project with requirements containing
  non-printable characters in their text fields.
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  During the process of making a baseline, the application
  removes non-printable characters from the XML files while it
  adds an entry to the baseline creation log. When large
  amounts of data are being cleaned the logging process fails
  causing the interruption of the cleaning process. The
  baseline is created but invalid characters reach the XML
  files.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RequisitePro Baseline Manager was modified to log
  correctly the information about the non-printable characters
  being removed. The process of creating the baseline, the
  cleaning process and the logging complete correctly now.
  The fix for this APAR was included in RequisitePro version
  7.1.2.8 and 7.1.3.4.
