Error description

  • In some cases, RDZ does not recognize changes in JCL fields of a
property group if the mouse is used to paste the data.

Steps to reproduce in one situation:

    - Open a file and select a little data to the clipboard.

    - Under RDz, edit a Property Group

    - Click on tab Link, expand ELAXFLNK and click on LINK

    - At the bottom, the box Additional JCL appears

    - Click in the box and the cursor blinks in the box

    - Right-click and click on Paste (use the mouse, not the
    keyboard)
    - The data copied in the clipboard is copied to the box.

But, the Property Group is not flagged as changed and no *
appears in the tab containing the name of the property group.
Under File, Save is greyed and the change is lost.

The same is true with tabs JCL (box JCL Job Card), Run, COBOL,
    C/C++, PLI, BMS, MFS, Assembler.

If anything is added or pasted using the keyboard it is saved.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************

    USERS AFFECTED:
RD/z users who use RD/z to edit JCL fields in the property group
editor using the context menu in the field.
    ****************************************************************

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The JCL fields in the property group
editor did not correctly reflect edits made to them using the
context menu in the field. For example, if a user selected text,
then clicked with the right mouse button to see the context
menu, and chose Cut, the property group was not marked as dirty,
and if the user existed the property group editor and opened the
property group again, the change was not saved. This also
happened if the user did a cut and paste using the Paste item in
the context menu in JCL fields.

Problem conclusion

  • ************************************************************
PROBLEM RESOLUTION: RD/z correctly handles edits to JCL fields
in the property group editor that are done using the context
    menu in the field.
