PM66169: SA allows to configure encyclopedia with TOGAF 9 and TOGAF 8

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When TOGAF 9 is enabled in encyclopedia and TOGAF Enterprise
  property sets are added in the configuration, this  creates
  'Type of Principle' and 'Type Of Principle'. These properties
  cause Cognos add-on to reject in creating the ?Operational Data
  Source?.
  
  SA should not allow both version of TOGAF in encyclopedia
  configuration.

  The dialog that handles "Tools|Customize Method Support"
  neither prevents nor warns the user when he selects TOGAF9
  together with an earlier version of TOGAF.
  
  Because TOGAF9 is so different from earlier versions, it
  represents a clean break rather than a incremental
  improvement. Thus the user should be alerted if he tries to
  select multiple TOGAFs.
  

Problem conclusion

• Rather than prevent the user from making multiple
  selections, we will warn him. "You have selected both TOGAF
  9 and an earlier version of TOGAF. This can result in a
  property name conflict."
